The candidate has to be proficient in all laboratory techniques, have experience in operating and developing HPLC methods and performing instrument validations. Also, the applicant needs to know how to: develop and write methods, validation protocols and Standard Operation Procedures (SOP); lead/direct laboratory projects and investigations; summarizing, reporting and/or reviewing findings; direct daily tasks within laboratory to ensure compliance with Standard Operation Procedures (SOP) and current Good Laboratory Practices. The individual filling this position should have good organizational and time management skills and well as some leadership skills. He/she should have: strong knowledge and understanding of current Good Manufacturing Practices and/or Good Laboratory Practices; strong knowledge of analytical chemistry and the Metric System; understanding of proper chemical handling, use, storage and disposal. The candidate should have the ability to interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals; the ability to speak effectively before a group of employees within the organization; the ability to read, analyze, and interpret scientific periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.The position requires a bachelor's degree in chemistry or related discipline and a minimum of 6 years of related laboratory experience
