What you can expect

We are looking for a smart candidate who enjoys the technical implementation of complex legal requirements to join our VAT team in the position of Business Consultant.

  • Within the team, you will develop solutions for the technical and process-related optimization of sales processes within the BASF Group.

  • Your goal will be to provide support during technical interpretation of the VAT-related requirements of the European Union and the individual countries.

  • In the process, you will assume an important interface role and maintain direct dialogue with the financial heads of the BASF Group companies, sales colleagues and VAT experts.

  • You will design new processes, work together to define guidelines and be responsible for their technical implementation within the organization.

What we expect

  • You hold a degree in business informatics or business and economics or comparable educational qualifications.

  • Ideally, you have already been able to gain initial professional experience in the area of financial accounting/VAT or have a great deal of interest in approaching this topic step by step with us.

  • Alongside your good understanding of automated processes and MS Excel, practical experience with SAP R/3, especially the FI, SD or MM modules, is a plus.

  • You have great affinity for working at the interface between IT and specific unit and for working with large data volumes and are distinguished on a personal level by great initiative and enjoyment of making decisions.

  • Outstanding presentation and communication skills in both German and English are a must for the cooperation in our intercultural teams.
