  • You will have 5 GCSE's including Maths and English grade 4 - 9 and a Science grade A* - C or equivalent standard (predicted) or 5 GCSE's including Maths, English, and a Science grade A* - C or equivalent standard (actual).

  • You will have an excellent attitude towards safe working, excellent IT skills, effective communication skills and the ability to follow procedures with a methodical approach.

  • You have the logical ability to solve problems in a timely manner and the ability to stay calm in difficult situations.

  • You will also have a good timekeeping and attendance record, and must be able to carry out work in accordance with employer's health & safety guidelines.

  • The working hours are 37 per week.

TaskDescriptionAt BASF we offer you the opportunity to gain practical experience, skills and theoretical knowledge in the exciting field of Electrical and Instrumentation (E&I) through an apprenticeship.

  • On a day to day basis you will work as part of the E&I maintenance team, maintaining state of the art technologies including instrumentation, electrical equipment and distributed control systems in an industrial environment.

  • Throughout your apprenticeship you will receive on the job training and learn about different types of instrumentation used to measure and control the chemical processes.

  • You will learn about the installation and maintenance of electrical equipment and how to inspect, service and maintain this equipment.

  • Engineering staff at BASF plc have years of experience to benefit from on a day to day basis!

  • As well as technical skills, you will have the opportunity to develop your problem solving ability, your ability to communicate effectively and work in teams to become a well-rounded professional.
