You will either have 5 GCSE's including Maths and English grade 4 - 9 and Double Science or Chemistry grade A* - C or equivalent standard (predicted).
Or you will have 5 GCSE's including Maths, English, and Double Science or Chemistry grade A* - C or equivalent standard (actual).
Or, you have A level in Chemistry/Related Science at Grade A* - C (actual or predicted) and GCSE's in Maths and English at Grade A* - C (actual) or equivalent previous standard.
You will have an excellent attitude towards safe working, excellent IT skills, effective communication skills and the ability to follow procedures with a methodical approach.
You must have the logical ability to solve problems in a timely manner, and the ability to stay calm in difficult situations.
You will be able to demonstrate flexibility, adaptability and the ability to work as part of a team.
You must be self-driven and have an enthusiastic approach to work, a desire to succeed and a willingness to learn and listen.
You will also have a good timekeeping and attendance record, and must be able to carry out work in accordance with employer's health & safety guidelines.
The working hours are 37 per week.
TaskDescriptionThis is an excellent opportunity to work and learn within a specialist team providing technical support to world class chemical production plants.
Based in Bradford you will be trained in many different laboratory techniques needed supporting the global polyacrylamide plants, quality control and adherence to environmental regulations for manufacturing units within BASF.
You will need to demonstrate the commitment and discipline required of working safely and following critical procedures within a busy environment.
You will develop and be responsible for effective verbal and written communications between yourself and other members of the team.
You work with your supervisor to ensure that all college and training courses are passed and completed to progress through the scheme.
We will provide you with the opportunity to get a nationally recognised qualification whilst working in full time employment.
