You will have 5 GCSE's including Maths and English grade 4 - 9 and a Science grade A* - C or equivalent standard (predicted) or 5 GCSE's including Maths, English, and a Science grade A* - C or equivalent standard (actual).
You will have an excellent attitude towards safe working, effective communication and IT skills and the ability to follow technical instructions with a methodical approach.
You will have an interest in Engineering being able solve problems in a timely manner, and the ability to stay calm in difficult situations.
You will be able to demonstrate flexibility, adaptability and the ability to work as part of a team.
You must be self-driven and have an enthusiastic approach to work, a desire to succeed and a willingness to learn and listen.
The working hours are 37 per week.
TaskDescriptionThis is a fantastic opportunity to learn how to maintain service and inspect a production plant to provide mechanical engineering maintenance service.
In this busy and varied role, you will work within a dedicated and experienced team of Mechanical Technicians to develop your Engineering skills required for a modern chemical industry.
You will use your knowledge to find innovative solutions to complex problems, often under pressure.
You will need to demonstrate the commitment to ensure safe working systems and practices are followed and to ensure personal compliance with all critical procedures.
You will be responsible for effective verbal and written communication between yourself and other members of the team to ensure precise and appropriate information is available as required.
You will also work with your team to identify opportunities for improvements in departmental performance.
