  • You will have 5 GCSE's including Maths and English grade 4 - 9 and a Science grade A* - C or equivalent standard (predicted) or 5 GCSE's including Maths, English, and a Science grade A* - C or equivalent standard (actual).

  • You will have an excellent attitude towards safe working, effective communication and IT skills and the ability to follow technical instructions with a methodical approach.

  • You will have an interest in Engineering being able solve problems in a timely manner, and the ability to stay calm in difficult situations.

  • You will be able to demonstrate flexibility, adaptability and the ability to work as part of a team.

  • You must be self-driven and have an enthusiastic approach to work, a desire to succeed and a willingness to learn and listen.

  • The working hours are 37 per week.

TaskDescriptionThis is a fantastic opportunity to learn how to maintain service and inspect a production plant to provide mechanical engineering maintenance service.

  • In this busy and varied role, you will work within a dedicated and experienced team of Mechanical Technicians to develop your Engineering skills required for a modern chemical industry.

  • You will use your knowledge to find innovative solutions to complex problems, often under pressure.

  • You will need to demonstrate the commitment to ensure safe working systems and practices are followed and to ensure personal compliance with all critical procedures.

  • You will be responsible for effective verbal and written communication between yourself and other members of the team to ensure precise and appropriate information is available as required.

  • You will also work with your team to identify opportunities for improvements in departmental performance.
