We are seeking a Marketing Manager, Formulation Additives, to lead all regional marketing activities for the Formulation Additives business unit based in Charlotte, NC.

The Dispersions & Resins business of BASF develops, produces and markets a range of high-quality resins, additives, colorants and polymer dispersions worldwide. These raw materials are used in formulations for coatings and paints, printing and packaging products, construction chemicals, adhesives, fiberbondings, nonwovens, and paper manufacturing. Marketing Manager, Formulation Additives (1700467) – Charlotte, NC

You will be responsible for marketing-related activities across multiple industry segments, collaborating with the marketing managers of all business units (5) within the Dispersions, Resins and Additives organization to translate end-use customer needs to growth projects for formulation additives.

Formula for Success: You Will…

  • Develop business cases for, and provide leadership to, phase gate projects for the formulation additives portfolio.

  • Partner with R&D formulation specialists to charter benchmark work and market / communicate results broadly.

  • Drive market launches of Formulation Additives products in multiple industry segments.

  • Collaborate with Marketing Managers in other regions to leverage best practices.

Qualifications - BASF recognizes institutions of Higher Education which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent

Ingredients for Success: What We Look for in You…

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Chemistry, Business, Marketing or related field; MBA is preferred.

  • Minimum of 10 years of total work experience, with at least 5 years in marketing, sales or product management roles.

  • Demonstrated success in managing multiple projects, and leading / coordinating initiatives.

  • Ability to collaborate with and to influence colleagues across multiple business units and industry segments.

  • Excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills. Experience interacting with key decision makers across various levels of an organization, both internally and externally.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead and influence others by taking risks, driving change and building trust.

Preferred…

  • Background or market knowledge in formulation additives, resins or dispersions for coating applications.
