You are educated ideally to degree level or equivalent in an Occupational Health discipline and are a registered Nurse.
You have a minimum of 5 years' experience in an Occupational Health adviser role, ideally in a manufacturing environment.
You also have experience in Project Management and will take on the leadership of projects when necessary.
In addition, you are have accredited membership to a professional body in Occupational Health.
Experience in delivering and supporting case management, capability assessment, rehabilitation plans and health surveillance.
An understanding of Occupational Health, Safety and relevant employment legislation is also essential.
You have strong interpersonal, confidential, verbal and written communication and networking skills, as well as effective time and work management.
Finally, a Driving License is required for this role.
TaskDescriptionAs an Occupational Health Advisor, you will be responsible for providing professional expert OH advice, interpretation and information to enable site management at EUU/BNU sites to comply with legislation and regulation and with BASF's Directives and Requirements.
You will also support site management in the identification and control of OH hazards to prevent work-related ill health.
In addition, you will seek to improve general OH performance and provide advice on appropriate workplace adjustments, rehabilitation advice, promote health in the workplace and heathy lifestyles and provide advice on medical and ill-health retirement.
Furthermore, you will deliver, in line with site OH matrices, appropriate health surveillance and medicals.
You support and advise site management on the development of OH site concepts and implementation of BASF's Responsible Care Management System.
You will also share best practices between sites and work in cooperation with Occupational safety experts or other relevant specialists.
Finally, you will support sites to prepare for Occupational Medicine and Health Protection Audits and follow-up on the implementation of audit recommendations and support the rollout of Global Health Campaigns and health promotion activities.
