We are looking for someone to serve as the Employee Communications Specialist (Editorial) to serve as part of our Corporate Communications team with responsibility for developing and coordinating a variety of internal communications publications and projects.
Employee Communications Specialist (Editorial) (1701686) – Florham Park, NJ
Formula for Success: You Will…
Develop and coordinate various internal communications publications and editorial projects under direction of Manager, Employee Communications – Editorial & Executive Communications and as a member of the Corporate Communications team. This supports BASF objectives of an informed and engaged employee workforce.
Using creative storytelling, develop interesting, engaging content for various forms of communication, including newsletters, intranet, digital signage and face-to-face.
As Managing Editor of BASF information, work with the Editor in Chief to publish quarterly employee magazine. Identify topics; plan issues; research, write and edit features; and direct freelance writers, designers and photographers.
As responsible editor for regional and local weekly email newsletters, write, edit and distribute all weekly internal news articles and announcements.
Represent Employee Communications in biweekly Corporate Newsroom meetings to evaluate, pitch and further develop topics for employee communications channels.
Demonstrate technical aptitude to work with content management systems and use digital tools to support content needs (e.g. light photo editing, graphic design).
Create and schedule digital signage content as well as maintain and implement editorial criteria to support the rollout of corporate digital signage across the region.
Work closely with other members of the regional and global communication team to ensure alignment of messages and plans.

Qualifications - BASF recognizes institutions of Higher Education which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent
Ingredients for Success: What We Look for in You…
Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, English, or related field required.
A minimum of 5 years of communications experience required; employee/internal communications preferred.
Excellent writing and editing skills required; experience publishing newsletters is a plus.
Design skills and knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and/or InDesign required.
Ability to work independently and with others at all levels and across functions.
Ability to manage deadlines and change priorities as part of a fast-paced, dynamic and creative team.
