BASF's Professional Development Programs (PDPs) were created to provide highly motivated, mobile-minded current university students an opportunity to enhance their professional skills through a variety of diverse learning experiences. Participants will contribute to real-world rotational assignments within different domestic locations. They will explore career options and develop technical and professional decision-making skills, while fulfilling specific business needs. Participants also have the opportunity to assess their capabilities, skills, and interests and gain valuable exposure to BASF's culture, values, and decision-makers.

Formula for Success: You Will…
We offer Accounting, Finance, and Economics students the opportunity to spend a summer working at a North American BASF site within the U.S. Interns will receive exposure to various corporate level accounting, controlling, and international audit functions which will provide the opportunity to further develop both technical and professional skills. These practical and meaningful assignments will give interns an opportunity to apply what they’ve learned in school. We offer a competitive salary and networking opportunities with Senior Management during the 10- to 12-week program.
What can the PDP AEF Internship do for you?
Develop technical expertise, network at senior levels throughout BASF, and explore possible career tracks within the company.
Participation in internal audits at the Corporation’s U.S. or affiliate locations.
Provide exposure to Finance and Accounting applications.
The opportunity to join our Talent Pipeline for consideration of future opportunities within the organization, including the Full-time Finance and Controlling Professional Development Program.

Ingredients for Success: What We Look for in You…
Major in Accounting, Finance, or Economics
Demonstrated academic achievement (Minimum GPA 3.2).
College Sophomores and Juniors (December 2018-August 2020 grads); Master’s degree candidates graduating between December 2018 – August 2020.
Commitment to relocate anywhere in the U.S.
Authorization to work in the U.S.without restrictions or need for future sponsorship.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Outstanding work ethic.
Ability to work in a technical environment.
Bilingual a plus.
Previous internship/co-op experience
