Where the Chemistry Happens…

Both the Exposure Reduction Program (ERP) Facilitator and ERP steering committee are responsible for working with the BASF Implementation Leader to adapt ERP technology to the site’s unique needs, develop an implementation plan and timeline, and successfully execute that plan. The facilitator plays a key role in leading the steering committee.

Formula for Success: You Will…

  • Organize and facilitate Steering Committee meetings, including setting of time, place, and agenda. Serve as meeting chair, or designate one for each meeting. Ensure meeting objectives are accomplished and minutes are taken, prepared, and distributed, and action items are completed in a timely manner.

  • Deliver informational training presentations to employee groups that are designed to "sell" the process.

  • Enter observation data and analyze and identify trends to generate reports for viewing by key stakeholders.

  • Leverage observation data for safety improvement through sharing of information with the Barrier Removal Team (BRT) through problem-solving and action-planning meetings.

  • Serve as a liaison with management while remaining current on status reviews with the Site Sponsorship Team and the Barrier Removal Team.

  • Engage regularly with the BASF Implementation Leader to provide detailed meeting minutes and related materials. In addition, provide coordination on site visits, training events, and observation schedules.

  • Connect with outside groups to furnish information and best practice sharing about the BASF ERP process to affected personnel at other BASF sites and facilities.

Qualifications - BASF recognizes institutions of Higher Education which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent

Ingredients for Success: What We Look for in You…

· At least 5 years’ work experience in a manufacturing, or similar, environment.

· Previous experience on Continuous Improvement Teams (e.g., 5S, Lean) and safety programs, processes, and initiatives.

· Solid project management and project team leadership skills; training and coaching experience a plus.

· Strong communication, presentation, and time management skills; ability to provide leadership and influence site employees at all levels.

Familiarity with office programs including MS Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.
