What you can expect

As Program Manager you will be responsible to initiate and coordinate new programs throughout the product life cycle from competition until serial introduction. You will serve as gatekeeper for the Global Product Life Cycle Process (PLC) and ensure clarity on roles and responsibilities. This role will ensure BASF´s effectiveness in bidding competitions.

  • You will plan the resources required and align them with liable functions for the processes in the landscape and assist in program scheduling and assure timelines are met.

  • You will track the programs progress and generate status reports adapted from the performances.

  • You will identify process bottlenecks, challenges and major risks and escalate in collaboration with affected functions to the appropriate decision-makers to issue corrective action.

  • Besides you will ensure that preparation, delivery and quality of documents are on time and you will set performance measures at the different gates.

  • Moreover, you will ensure the promotion of awareness of customer requirements and you assume the functional support of employees on all levels of the organization.

What we expect

  • You successfully completed your university degree in engineering or marketing and you already gained solid knowledge in the automotive business.

  • You have prior automotive quality experience as well as project experience and you are able to manage complex analysis.

  • Personally, you present yourself as a team player and you dispose of strong communication skills.

  • In addition, you are able to carry out all tasks in English and in German.

  • You are a proactive, innovative and competent person who listens to others and relates well to all levels in the organization.
