Where the Chemistry Happens…

We are looking for a Technical Service Specialist, Automotive Refinishing (1701612) for Kentucky, Tennessee and Arkansas, to provide technical support to our customers, both distribution and collision centers. Ideal location is Louisville, KY but Tennessee is also an option.

  • Provide customer support, both distribution and collision, by training, product demonstrations, trouble-shooting, and color matching.

  • Communicate across the refinish organization to drive customer retention, competitive conversions, improved product performance and development of new products.

  • Work with our R&D lab to identify and solve product complaints, a critical aspect of the position.

Qualifications - BASF recognizes institutions of Higher Education which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent

Ingredients for Success: What We Look for in You…

  • High School diploma plus a minimum of three years of automotive refinish paint experience required; Bachelor’s degree preferred

  • Automotive paint knowledge and application experience

  • Ability to troubleshoot technical issues to include application and color match issues in collision centers

  • Excellent product and technical knowledge

  • Ability to conduct training programs & lead product demonstrations; Promote a safe working environment

  • IT literacy

  • Ability to travel 75%

  • Bilingual language skills preferred
