You have earned a PhD in physical chemistry, physics or chemistry with deep understanding in nanotechnology.
Ideally, you have gained experience in EU or BMBF projects.
You are well acquainted with standard IT applications, you have excellent English language skills and German language skills are advantageous.
Furthermore, you are able to succeed in a result-driven environment and you are also capable of working well in multicultural teams.
TaskDescriptionAs a Postdoc in our unit Characterization of Nanomaterials, you will work for 18 months in the frame of the large national project "nanogravur" which is investigating the safety of nanomaterials - your goal is to bring the project to completion.
You will lead the work package on "grouping of nanomaterials by materials properties".
Data on the characterization and safety of nanomaterials from several partners, including BASF, has to be interpreted in the frame of screening concepts.
Your tasks also include hands-on research to generate data on product lifecycle and interactions.
Here you can draw on the expertise and support by expert labs of the central research hub of BASF in Ludwigshafen.
Your contribution is an important aspect of the risk assessment of nanotechnology and will help us to ensure the safe use of innovative products.
