What you can expect

The Materials Process Modeling unit is an integral component of the largest R&D community in the chemical industry and has expertise in model-supported process and product development and optimization.

  • Within the scope of the innovation process, you will initiate, handle and manage research projects and subprojects in polymer reaction engineering.

  • To achieve the challenging project goals, you will work together with colleagues from process and product development as well as the operational units in interdisciplinary and intercultural research teams.

  • You will negotiate and work with various internal and external partners in order to transfer research findings to the technical center and production operations.

  • Contact with operational units, research groups and universities worldwide will complete your network.

What we expect

  • We are looking for candidates who combine their passion for innovation with sound knowledge in polymer reaction technology and thermodynamics.

  • You have completed your degree in process engineering, chemical engineering or technical chemistry with a PhD or you have gained comparable professional experience.

  • Furthermore, you have practical experience in the modeling and simulation of complex chemical processes using Predici, Aspen or similar software.

  • With your strong and cooperative communication skills, you maintain a lively exchange in your own group and with other units.
