What you can expect
Within our Electronic Lab Notebook unit, we monitor and support digitization within BASF and work closely with our research units.
You will advise and support our customers from the research environment and manage the implementation of modeling of lab workflows in suitable and contemporary IT solutions.
In the process, you will be responsible for well-organized acceptance of customer requirements and will coordinate the implementation thereof together with our internal and external partners.
You will be responsible for planning and implementing projects, lab-specific development tasks and quality assurance together with the users in the labs.
As a capable point of contact, you will be available to your customers and colleagues with your expertise in natural sciences and information technology and can present your work results to them in a manner geared toward specific target groups.
What we expect
You have a science degree in one of several disciplines: chemistry, biology, physics, pharmacy or computer science with a focus on natural sciences.
Ideally, you also hold a doctorate demonstrating your knowledge of research processes and laboratory workflows.
You show great interest in IT systems and tools and familiarize yourself with new fields rapidly and in a goal-oriented way. You are familiar with the fundamentals of modern programming languages and agile development models.
You are distinguished by your entrepreneurial actions, very highly developed sense of responsibility, customer focus and highly strategic mindset.
You are a creative and communicative person with a well-organized and solution-oriented working style. You also move confidently within an international customer environment and look forward to working within an interdisciplinary team.
You can also demonstrate your communication skills in both German and English.
