  • You have a doctorate in mechanical engineering, process engineering or physics with a focus on structural mechanics and materials science, on which you earned above-average results, or have comparable professional experience.

  • You combine a passion for innovation with solid skills and knowledge in the field of micromechanical modeling and, ideally, acoustics and image processing.

  • You also have practical experience with FEM simulations and have solid programming skills.

  • Your targeted, clear communication style allows you to convey even complex matters in an understandable manner.

TaskDescriptionThe Materials Process Modeling unit is an integral component of the largest R&D community in the chemical industry and has expertise in model-supported process and product development and optimization.

  • As part of the innovation process, you will initiate and process research projects in modeling and simulation of material properties.

  • You will validate and parameterize material models and determine structure-property relationships on that basis.

  • To achieve the challenging project goals, you will work together with colleagues from process and product development as well as the operational units in interdisciplinary and intercultural research teams.

  • Contact with operational units, research groups and universities worldwide will complete your network.
