We have a great opportunity for a Maintenance Execution Leader to join our team and serve as the technical and supervisory leader of Mechanical and I/E Maintenance Execution for our McIntosh, AL, site.

Maintenance Execution Leader (1701406)

You will ensure the reliability focus and provide technical advice to Production (PMCs and Asset Engineers), Mechanical Engineering and Capital Projects. You will also ensure a strategic focus of the group's resources toward long-term reliability and sustainability while managing the day-to-day maintenance engineering and execution issues.

Formula for Success: You Will…

  • Perform all maintenance work safely

  • Maintain organizational structure with the right mix of company and contract employees to provide efficient and effective maintenance services to ensure reliable production unit operations

  • Drive organization to a highly proactive, planned & scheduled maintenance operation

  • Manage all maintenance execution activities to ensure efficient and effective work execution and reliable production across the site

  • Ensure mechanical and I/E maintenance focus on the correction of "Bad-Actor" equipment in the production units

  • Manage workload and resources for the maintenance and I/E supervision, planners and technicians

  • Mentor the maintenance and I/E supervisors and planners/schedulers and ensure the group receives continuing education and has the skill set to meet the requirement in the plant

  • Provide technical leadership and oversight to common I/E services, such as grounding and bonding, thermography, etc.

  • Provide technical support for the group that maintains the High Voltage Distribution System

  • Responsible for the safe work practice of the mechanical maintenance and I/E crafts

  • Develop and maintain an accurate backlog of work, effectively schedule work, and safely, efficiently and effectively execute work

  • Ensure the mechanic and technician workforce is properly trained to accomplish work

  • Ensure contract workforce at the site is delivering effective and efficient services

  • Ensure that safe work practices are employed while providing maintenance services

  • Ensure that effective planning and scheduling are employed in delivering maintenance services

  • Ensure that effective turnaround planning is utilized to minimize production unit downtime and cost

Qualifications - BASF recognizes institutions of Higher Education which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent

Ingredients for Success: What We Look for in You…

  • BS degree required. A degree in an engineering discipline preferred. A minimum of 10 years’ industrial plant experience is required

  • Requires experience in mechanical and/or I/E maintenance execution

  • Supervisory experience is required. Experience in managing contractors is strongly desired

  • Must have general computer skills; expertise in SAP/PM is desirable

  • Strong demonstrated competency in the following areas is required: environmental, health & safety, conflict management, contractor management, customer focus, communication & interpersonal understanding, entrepreneurial action, leading employees to success, analytical thinking.

  • Demonstrated leadership in maintenance execution is a must

  • Travel 5%
