Where the chemistry happens…
Our group focuses on the research, development and scale up of innovative catalysts and adsorbents for the chemical and energy industries.
As a Chemist I, you will execute projects focused on developing and optimizing base metal, precious metal and zeolite containing chemical catalysts (special focus on Custom Catalysts, i. e. catalysts exclusively developed for a third party), alumina, and adsorbents as well as on scale-up and manufacturing support for the business unit.
As a Chemist I, You Create Chemistry By...
Conducting well designed, safe laboratory and pilot plant experiments, as well as communicating results to relevant stakeholders.
Leveraging your problem-solving abilities, to work with the team leader and other colleagues to optimize the performance of catalysts and adsorbents.
Creating Standard Operating Procedures.
Actively participating in all BASF safety practices and programs.
If you...
Have a Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, chemical engineering, or material science (or related field). Advanced degree is a plus.
Have Minimum 2 years of experience in a laboratory or science-based environment
Are able to safely handle a variety of hazardous chemicals.
Have strong digitalization skills.
Experience in troubleshooting equipment, it is considered a plus.
