We are seeking a Lead Solutions Architect to work in our Research Triangle Park (RT)), NC facility, or from a virtual location.

Formula for Success: You Will…

  • Take responsibility in leading the architecture, implementation and, support of the AP digital system landscape platform.

  • Implement the AP division digitalization requirements while ensuring overall consistency of the AP division’s digital backbone system landscape.

  • Collaborate with the Digital AP Lead, CXM Program Manager, and business partners to understand specific requirements that drive the need for solutions. In addition, work together to formulate a design roadmap plan that factors technology investments and risks, while providing value to the company by improving business processes and eliminating unnecessary complexities.

  • Steer, plan, and implement the design roadmap plan into working solutions by leading the design phases of projects with key IT technical teams to ensure overall IT and business partner satisfaction and success.

Qualifications - BASF recognizes institutions of Higher Education which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent

Ingredients for Success: What We Look for in You…

  • Bachelor’s degree required, with a concentration in Computer Science or Information Technology (IT) a plus.

  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in IT and/or IT Consulting; 8 years of experience with Big Data or Data Warehousing technologies, processing large data sets, and working with functional teams such as database, network, storage, and security; 8 years of experience with Enterprise Architecture and Distributed Computing frameworks (i.e., Apache Hive, Apache Kafka); and 5 years of experience with databases, warehouses, business intelligence systems (i.e., Hadoop, SQL, and data analysis tools).

  • Strong communication and team-building skills, combined with an ability to manage and resolve conflict.

  • Proven track record of architecting, estimating, and leading projects end-to-end while meeting customer expectations.

  • Demonstrated entrepreneurial drive with high customer-oriented focus; highly developed sense of responsibility with ability to think analytically and strategically.

  • Solid solution design experience, business expertise, and IT knowledge.

  • An established subject matter expert (technical and functional) in Hadoop with a working knowledge of commerce platforms such as SAP Hybris.

  • A highly motivated self-starter with passionate desire to understand and deliver high-quality solutions to meet business partner needs.
