Regional Accounts Manager (Southeast US, or Midwest US) (1701368) – Remote Position
As a Regional Accounts Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring consistent planning and communication with assigned seed company and all related functional groups within both the company’s and the customer’s organization. You will also drive accelerated growth of BASF’s Advanced Seed Enhancements to designated Seed companies, maintaining and building good business / trade relationships with designated seed companies.
Formula for Success: You Will…
Call on designated seed companies to communicate the value of BASF’s products, focusing on the benefits of using BASF Advanced Seed Enhancements, Advanced Weed Control, Plant Health & traits, etc.
Call on designated seed companies to fully understand their unique needs, interests, and business goals / objectives to maximize sales opportunities. as well as regional crop protection distribution firms as designated
Develop a customer-focused sales strategy for each customer, assisting the customer in reframing the way they think about their business or their business issues
Develop and maintain good business / trade relationships with designated seed companies
Communicate and promote BASF marketing, sales and technical programs to designated accounts and key personnel to drive business and achieve sales goals
Develop an Account plan that defines potential of the assigned accounts for both existing and potential customers, and that establishes priority coverage for accounts and prospects through appropriate call frequency and geographic patterns
Implement the account plan to yield maximum sales and meet or exceed sales goals
Initiate and coordinate strategic planning sessions with designated accounts that ensure business / action plans are developed, implemented and updated on a regional and national basis
Communicate business issues and possible alternatives to BASF management and work with the appropriate BASF areas to implement solutions
Support, cooperate and closely coordinate actions and plans with sales team to ensure National objectives align with accounts and are achieved

Where you'll work…
You will live near a major airport, and reside within a territory that consists of either the Southeast or Midwest US. You will also spend 60% or more of your time traveling overnight. Our opportunities can take you all over the world...

Ingredients for Success: What We Look For in You…
BS/BA, or Higher Level Degree
5 years of experience in field sales, management, marketing, business development, and/or technical services
Strong understanding of the manufacturer/seed and/or crop protection business relationship
Proven track record of success selling to seed companies or growers
Demonstrated success in budget management within a sales environment
Willing and able to travel overnight/weekly; Minimum 60% overnight travel
Strong inter-personal and communication skills and the ability to develop strong, successful business relationships with customers as well as internal teammates; Ability to self-manage time and resources and to allocate time and energy appropriately, resulting in achievement of goals; Excellent computer skills, with proficiency in Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
