Sales Representative – Coastal California (1701336) – Remote Position
As a Sales Representative, you will be responsible for managing accounts in your own territory and meeting specified targets by creating value for the existing customer base, and prospecting for new customers with products, services, and/or solutions from BASF. You will also be responsible for launching new company products throughout your assigned territory.
Formula for Success: You Will…
Develop a business plan to segment and target retailers, distribution and key influencers, develop short and long term customer action plans and anticipate/respond to market dynamics
Conduct product updates, trials, technical and sales training to growers, retailers, distributors, and influence groups
Submit timely reports, required to identify opportunities, emerging threats, and competitive activities
Participate in District, Regional or National cross functional teams
Provide timely and accurate administration and communication of customer needs to others in the organization

Qualifications - BASF recognizes institutions of Higher Education which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent
Ingredients for Success: What We Look For in You…
CA PCA (Pest Control Advisor) license
2 years of sales experience (and/or completion of a BASF Agricultural Rotational Program)
Account management experience
Willing and able to reside within the assigned territory and willing and able to travel up to 75% of the time
Demonstrated Customer Relationship Management Skills
Demonstrated strong work ethic, self-motivation, and strong written and verbal communication with the ability to influence and impact; strong presentation, business acumen, strategic thinking, innovation/creativity, teamwork, and time management; strong leadership skills
5 years of sales experience
Agricultural business experience
Experience with Coastal California crops, including leafy / cole vegetables, strawberries, and grapes
Product launch experience
Experience with biologicals
