The Accountant is responsible for performing general accounting functions with direction from the Automotive Refinish Coatings (ECR) Senior Business Analyst. These responsibilities include month end general ledger closing, financial statement preparation, balance sheet analysis, bank reconciliation and financial analysis.
Formula for Success: You Will…
Manage the General Ledger monthly activities for the Automotive Refinish Technologies (ART) US and ART Canada businesses, including composing and entering all journal entries, managing all Balance Sheet accounts, reconciliations, and Cash management. This includes the isolation of activity within the ART General Ledger that relates to other business units, to ensure the activity is transferred.
Complete the month-end closing process in a timely fashion, for ART US and ART Canada.
Provide management reports for ART US, ART Canada, and bodyshopmall.com. These include but are not limited to KPIs, P & Ls, Intercompany Reconciliations, various Financial Analyses and other reports.
Provide support for all departments, including but not limited to: financial or management reporting requests; A/P, A/R and other Operations questions from ART stores and the bodyshopmall.com Call Center; and Corporate compliance.
Ensure legal/governmental compliance for ART (in US and Canada), including the payment and reporting of Governmental Monthly Tax Remittances, proper Worker's Compensation payments and calculations, Lease payments, and GAAP compliance of ART activities

Ingredients for Success: What We Look for in You…
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or financial related field with a minimum 2 years of relevant financial, accounting experience.
Working knowledge of accounting theory and practice
Results oriented, professional and able to work with all levels within the organization.
Demonstrates strong team building skills, solid communication skills, initiative and self-confidence.
Ability to solve problems and complete tasks with minimal assistance.
Able to meet established deadlines and handle multiple tasks.
