Where the Chemistry Happens…

We are seeking an Asset Manager to join our Automotive Coatings team to be directly responsible for ensuring the production capacities in Greenville, Windsor and Tultitlan are clearly established, understood and maintained and, in conjunction with Supply Chain, Marketing and Financial Planning & Analysis, optimizes the Automotive Coatings (ECN) Manufacturing supply footprint.

The successful candidate will have a desire to operate in a high paced environment where cross functional interaction is an integral component of its responsibilities. T he position will work closely with the ECN Supply Chain Network Planner and reports directly to the ECN Manufacturing Director, North America.

Asset Manager - Automotive Coatings (1700125)

You will provide an ongoing strategic long term outlook for the manufacturing footprint, technology and resources in North America in order to ensure the efficient supply of product to the Automotive and Refinish businesses in the North America region. You will also be directly responsible for coordinating the ECN Capital Investment Plan to ensure adequate capacity is in place to meet customer demand.

This position is seen as both a tactical interface between Manufacturing, Technical, Commercial, Marketing, Financial Planning and the Supply Chain organization and a Strategic interface with EC Technology (ECX) for Site Development and Master Planning.

Formula for Success: You Will…

  • Determine and maintain ECN manufacturing capacity, capacity utilization and identification of potential bottlenecks. “Capacity” includes Quality support infrastructure (eg. spraybooths) and Logistics (eg. warehouse space). In conjunction with the Supply Chain Network Planner, optimize production locations as needed and participate in Regional S&OP process.
  • Drive identified capacity increase initiatives through Continuous Improvement teams and Site Management.
  • Evaluate new business opportunities and, in conjunction with the Supply Chain Network Planner, determine optimum manufacturing location.
  • Coordinate and maintain ECN Manufacturing Site Master Plans with a clear strategic investment and resource requirement roadmap.
  • Coordinate ECN capital investment plan.

Ingredients for Success: What We Look for in You…

·BA/BS degree in Chemical Engineering, Business Management or related and a minimum of 7 years’ experience in Chemical Plant Operations is required. Supply Chain and/or chemical plant project management experience is a plus.

·An understanding of the Sales and Operational Planning concept required.

·Excellent leadership, change management, organizational, communication, collaborative and interpersonal skills

·Proven knowledge of technical chemical plant operations

·Strong analytical skills, including attention to detail, and excellent MS-Office skills

·Ability to think strategically across the region

·Highly motivated self-starter who works independently under general supervision, with the demonstrated capability to operate across various teams, functions and cultures.
