Where the Chemistry Happens…

We are seeking a Business Lead to lead a new start-up business as part of the Automotive Refinish (ECR) group in the North American region. In the first year, your key responsibilities will be to develop the pilot project for this new business which includes, developing the technology with the software and hardware vendors, piloting the technology to several key customers and creating an economic and technically viable proof case. Upon development of the proof case you will be responsible for developing a sound business plan and marketing strategy for scaling this new business within the automotive repair industry.

You will be responsible for growing and developing a sustainable business by identifying new customers, converting current customers and improving the service solution over time. This is a start-up and encompasses all intrinsic risks associated with a new business. You will collaborate closely with ECR leadership, as well as 3rd party vendors, customers and external parties and stakeholder groups.

· Develop long range strategic plan to make this new business sustainable and successful

· Understand the impact of this solution on competitors and key stakeholders in the market to identify possible threats and opportunities

· Be a ccountable for scaling this new service to over 400 shops within the next 5 years

· Manage a $1.5M investment budget

Qualifications - BASF recognizes institutions of Higher Education which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent

Ingredients for Success: What We Look for in You…

· Bachelor degree in any discipline required

· Minimum 10 years of experience in Sales, Marketing or closely related Business

· 5 years of experience in the refinish industry or closely related field required

· Demonstrated experience in developing and executing strategic projects, launching new products or significantly growing a business

· Previous management experience preferred

· Demonstrated strong communication, influencing and presentation skills
