  • You have earned an outstanding PhD in chemistry (construction chemistry), materials chemistry, materials science, construction materials engineering or a related discipline in the natural sciences.

  • Ideally, you have already addressed issues regarding inorganic and organic materials, inorganic and organic composite materials or foamed materials and have gained experience in the field of construction materials.

  • You have fluent business proficiency in spoken and written English and you are willing to lead a team to success due to your high initiative and organizational skills.

  • You are a creative and solution-oriented person with an innovative mindset as well as excellent communication and argumentation skills.

TaskDescriptionWe are looking for a candidate to join our Integrated Construction Systems unit as soon as possible to develop materials, components and technologies for system solutions in the construction segment.

  • You will implement projects regarding heat and noise insulation, energy and climate management and lightweight construction with a focus on developing open-cell or closed-cell, inorganic and organic cellular materials (foams).

  • Besides managing the research lab, you will also advise your employees in terms of technical issues.

  • You will continuously expand your knowledge and will develop concepts, which you will then monitor up to the point of implementation in the form of initial generic demonstrators.

  • You will present the results of your work both internally and externally to user target groups.

  • You will work with various business units and external specialist departments in an international environment.

  • Monitoring new trends, technologies and developments will be an ongoing part of your role.
