BASF Executive Administration Associate in Wyandotte, Michigan

BASF, “The Chemical Company” is seeking candidates for an Administrative Assistant rolesupporting the Vice President – Isocyanates & Inorganics and Head of Business Management – Electronic Materials as well as providing administrative support to the Wyandotte Isocyanate team.

This position reports to Vice President – Isocyanates & Inorganics North America.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare manual payment requisitions and create Service Entries via SAP or other BASF IT systems as needed.
  • Create, organize and maintain large volumes of data, critical information, presentations, and scorecards using SAP and MS office tools. May include need to collect information from multiple sources, developing new formats for tracking and presenting information for both Isocyanate and Electronic Materials businesses.
  • Support Isocyanate and Electronic Materials business activities by managing official customer correspondence including price increase notifications.
  • Support business activities by maintaining distribution lists and timely distribution of internal communications as requested.
  • Assist in maintaining LMS content for approximately 60 employees. Ensure all employees and contractors are assigned proper training.
  • Support CM Vice President, ED Head of Business Management, and Isocyanate/Electronic Materials team with meetings, travel, expense reporting, and scheduling logistics.
  • Support Electronic Materials activities at the Hillsboro lab and other business activities, which may include updating pricing in SAP, issuing purchase orders and IT orders etc.
  • Maintain adequate office and break-room supplies for the 2ndfloor of the Wyandotte West Administration building.
  • Work with other site Administrative Assistants on scheduling, organizing and executing West Admin or site wide initiatives –eg. Quarterly Review meetings, global safety week activities, etc.
  • Work with Administrative Assistant to CM Senior Vice President to ensure adequate coverage during absences and provide support if needed.

Provide day-to-day office support primarily for local Wyandotte office staff such as office relocations, office supply acquisition and management (including basic cost control), filing, guest management including hotel and lunches.

  • Associates Degree or related experience
  • Minimum of 5 years Administrative Experience
  • Experience in designing and updating web-sites would be an advantage
  • Expert knowledge of MS Office Suite software, including Word, PowerPoint, Access and Excel
  • Must have excellent communication skills and the ability to work under minimal supervision, as well as in a team environment.
  • Multi-task oriented and able to manage tight deadlines;
  • Experience using Lotus Notes and SAP a plus;
