This position is for the BASF Cellasto facility which manufactures Microcellular Polyurethane Automotive Suspension Components. This position will be responsible for the maintenance of a wide variety of manufacturing equipment as well as the technical development of new products. Must be comfortable working in a fast paced industrial environment. Cellasto Mold line OR Industrial Maintenance experience is a requirement, a 2 year mechanical maintenance degree is preferred.

The IMPACT I position candidate should demonstrate the following skills:

  • Work Safely and independently with minimal supervision.

  • Proficiency in the use of computers: Lotus Notes, Microsoft Office, PROMPT, CDB and SAP for the purpose of Maintenance Notifications.

  • Communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.

  • Easily adjust to changing priorities and dynamic workloads.

  • Ability to diagnose and repair Conventional and Heidel molds and carriages.

  • Ability to safely operate small machining equipment such as: drill press, lathe, angle grinder, bench grinder, chop saw, etc.

  • Certified welding and fabricating skills preferred.

  • Understanding of the tool development process.

  • Ability to comprehend mechanical drawings and technical writing.

  • Understanding of the MoldLine setup.

  • The ability to diagnose and repair dosing machine equipment, mixing equipment and HVLP spraying equipment.

  • The ability to study and understand the dynamic interaction of individual components within manufacturing systems and identify improvement opportunities.

Qualifications - BASF recognizes institutions of Higher Education which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent


  • 2 years Cellasto Molding experience and/or 2 years Industrial maintenance experience/degree are required.

  • Ability to work days, afternoons, midnights, weekend and split shifts with required holidays and overtime.

  • Ability to perform physical requirements such as bending, kneeling, and lifting up to 40 lbs. routinely.
