We are seeking a professional like you to support the daily operation of Automotive Catalyst Coating at the Huntsville site. As a Coating Engineer, you will be part of a team that provides 24/7 technical support to the Coating Production lines. You will drive process and occupational safety by adhering to all BASF safety rules and policies. You will be an integral part of optimizing slurry preparation and coating line processes by working with Operators and Technical support functions to identify and eliminate sources of scrap and quality issues, as well as finding ways to manufacture slurry and parts as efficiently as possible.

You will work closely with other departments such as Process Engineering and Maintenance to communicate priorities and distribute information back to the shift teams. Reciprocally, supporting departments will depend on you as a technical point of contact within production and will rely on you to observe issues and implement changes as required.

  • Your dedication to process safety will be a valued asset as you support EHS activities and processes, and lead or participate in investigations and corrective actions.

  • Your proven organizational skills will be useful as you efficiently review production data to understand performance and make improvements.

  • Displaying your commitment to LEAN methodologies, you will lead continuous improvement activities by fostering innovation and facilitating change that drives improvement.
