What you can expect
Within our Domestic Deliveries Unit, we are responsible for the handling of national and international truck and intermodal shipments for packaged goods. We deliver the products in compliance with the requested delivery date and at optimal cost conditions.
You will manage the box container transport from BASF and partner locations in the Port of Antwerp to the customer-requested delivery points, in compliance with the requested delivery date at optimal cost conditions.
You will take legal, BASF-internal, safety-relevant and packaging regulations into consideration when planning shipments.
You fulfill the customer-specific Service-Levels and all other necessary qualitative requirements in addition to controlling and monitoring of loading constraints at warehouses and external loading points and creating required transport documents.
Furthermore, you are responsible for the cost control in case of special arrangements examination of additional costs incurred and entering these into SAP and preparation of the corresponding transport conditions.
You evaluate and monitor the service providers` performance in terms of quality and reliability, process the non-conformancies in SAP along with the performance of various administrative and reporting tasks to support BASF site specific processes.
In this context, you will keep a close coordination between production, site logistics, carrier and transport management to anticipate or solve unplanned events.
Finally, you will ensure timely communication of disruptions of the normal planning process or the transport execution to the internal customer and agree on changed economic and/or temporal transport conditions.
What we expect
degree in Logistics, Supply Chain or other comparable area
experience in Logistics and/or Transport Management
profound system knowledge of SAP ERP TM module
ability to communicate in Dutch and English on a professional level
strong customer orientation
excellent interpersonal, team working and organizational skills
