What you can expect

As part of developing our Procurement Service, we are looking for candidates with Czech and/or Slovak language skills for the position of Representative. In the position of Junior Specialist in Purchasing, you will ensure that our BASF companies in Europe are supplied with technical goods and services.

  • You will actively participate in introducing and implementing globally defined purchasing processes and will handle all of the steps of the Purchase-to-Pay process.

  • Together with our internal Business Partners, you will coordinate requirements and be responsible for handling orders in accordance with stipulated guidelines.

  • Monitoring of deliveries and handling in the case of quality deviations will also be part of your day-to-day work.

  • You will maintain and update master data and contracts in our IT systems.

  • As the central point of contact for the operational purchasing processes, you will answer questions from various stakeholders, including requesters, suppliers, strategic buyers and colleagues from accounting, capably and promptly.

We have the following minimum requirements:

  • Education in business and commerce, with good grades

  • Excellent English, Czech and/or Slovak language skills, ideally good German language skills

  • Initial experience in purchasing a plus

  • Willingness to travel for initial training and familiarization purposes

  • Skills in SAP or other purchasing programs a plus
