Maintenance Instrumentation & Electrical Engineer (1900772) – Bishop, TX

Where the ChemistryHappens

We are seeking a professional like you for this tactical and daily maintenance focused position. In this role, you will be responsible for collaborating with operations and maintenance personnel and providing services related to design, repair, and maintenance, including preventative maintenance.

Formula for Success

  • Using your understanding ofcritical maintenance activities, i.e. static and rotating mechanical equipmentrepairs, you will improve Asset Effectiveness and reliability of equipment andprocesses.

  • Demonstrating your soundtechnical knowledge of instrumentation, electrical, and mechanical equipment,you will provide first line technical support to maintenance supervisors andcrafts on equipment problems, offer Tier 1 troubleshooting support andrecommendations to operating units including emergency work reviews, andparticipate in Root Cause Failure Analysis and execute corrective actions forcomplex and/or repetitive problems.

  • Your proven computer skills using(SAP) CMMS systems or a similar enterprise software system will serveyou well as you create and review BOMs.

  • Leveraging your Bachelors Degree in Electrical,Mechanical or Chemical Engineering and your professional work experience, youwill support reliability processes to drive improvements, optimize costs,and improve AE and develop a disciplined and systematic equipment Maintenance strategyand upkeep (ever-green) based upon business needs.

  • Your strong business acumen will be a valuedasset as you provide input to the Maintenance budget and determine costadvantages of alternatives for developing action plans to comply withcustomer demands for the timely repair of equipment.

  • Utilizing your general understanding ofindustrial maintenance procedures including work planning, PM, and repairparts acquisition, you will establish, monitor, and optimize PreventativeMaintenance Plans.

  • Your excellent communication skills (bothwritten and verbal) will be essential as you assist in the training anddevelopment of in-house maintenance resources.

  • Making business decisions based upon situationanalysis and resources available, you will evaluate new technologies,review SOPs from a Maintenance perspective, interpret codes, regulations,and standards, and identify and implement best practices across the site.

  • Successfully supporting capital projects, youwill supply engineering expertise in the specification, design, andconstruction of capital projects in accordance with plant designrequirements as well as regulatory and BASF standards.

  • Familiar with SIS Principals and or certification.
