We are seeking a professional like you to serve as a Reliability Inspector out of our Bishop, TX facility.
Reliability Inspector (1801081) – Bishop, TX
This position will be primarily responsible for development of inspection plans for outages and on-stream inspections, analysis of inspection data, reporting inspection status and coordination of inspection work with outage planning group. The position will also be responsible for the inspection of plant equipment as required. The inspector will document and report findings and develop recommendations as appropriate.
Formula for Success: You Will…
Develop and execute inspection plans for equipment based on service, design, condition and inspection history.
Maintain the inspection reporting database including set-up of new inspections, input of inspection results, adjustment of inspection frequencies, development of inspection schedules/look-aheads, and other reports including overdue inspections.
Analyze inspection results and findings. Provide recommendations based upon results of as-found condition, including repair recommendations, the need for additional NDT, and adjustment of inspection intervals. Issue reports in accordance with internal procedures.
Participate in Root Cause Failure Analysis.

Ingredients for Success: What We Look for in You…
At least 10 years of industrial experience in inspection of chemical plant equipment.
Must have strong understanding of all applicable codes and must hold certifications in API 510, 570, NDE and/or CWI certifications are preferred as well.
Ability to evaluate the need for additional types of inspection or testing and provide recommendations as appropriate.
Minimum Level II NDE certifications in UT, VT, PT, MT and RT Film Interpretation
A broad, thorough knowledge of welding techniques, welding procedures, quality control and welding inspection techniques.
Broad knowledge of corrosion mechanisms and analysis techniques.
Knowledgeable in basic materials of construction, including carbon steel, stainless steel, nickel-based alloys, linings, claddings, non-metallic materials, etc.
Knowledgeable in damage mechanisms such as corrosion, erosion, fatigue, stress cracking, etc.
Ability to prepare concise technical reports of findings from inspections to communicate effectively with team.
Work with outside inspection groups to coordinate site efforts
Ability to travel up to 5% of the time.
General knowledge of SAP.
API 653 certification
Certified Welding Inspector (CWI)
Experience with inspection programs such as Ultrapipe
Knowledgeable in exotic materials of construction, including Hastelloy B3, Hastelloy C276, Tantalum, glass lining, Copper-nickel, etc.
Working knowledge of FDA or ISO9001 requirements.
