Senior Production Manager (1902662) – Bishop, TX

Where the Chemistry Happens

As the Senior Production Manager for our Bishop site, you will ensure the timely production of quality products in a cost-efficient, safe, and environmentally responsible manner by coordinating, planning, and setting the direction of the production team. This is done with strong leadership and a good working knowledge of the related technologies. You must be able to communicate and focus the shift and support teams on the goals and targets established. This requires overall coordination of production, maintenance, reliability, capital investment, health and safety, ecology, quality assurance, coaching, and development of all production team members. In addition, you will report to the Site Manager and be a valued member of the Site Leadership Team (SLT).

Formula for Success

  • Leveraging your educational background and previous management experience within a production/chemical manufacturing environment, you will be accountable for all aspects of production in accordance with Safety, Environmental, and Quality requirements.

  • Your demonstrated leadership experience within a manufacturing environment will be a valued asset as you ensure operations and shared site resources are appropriately directed to meet operational priorities across the production plants.

  • As a role model, you will coach, develop, motivate, and challenge team members in support of a high-performance organization and to comply with BASF’s corporate values of Creative, Open, Responsible, and Entrepreneurial behavior.

  • Successfully engaging across the organization, you will work with, peers, and direct reports to set plant goals, budgets, objectives, and monitor plant performance to assure continuous improvement.

  • Your commitment to workplace safety and knowledge of OSHA/Responsible Care Process Safety Management will be essential as we will rely upon you to lead the plant to achieve excellence in EHS performance through continuous improvement, risk identification, compliance, and behavior-based safety.

  • Demonstrating your strong business acumen, you will monitor/control variable and fixed cost spending budget.

  • Your proven ability to drive change and develop, implement and manage Sustainable programs will serve you well as you champion innovative ideas to foster timeliness of product manufacturing to meet order demand, product quality, and cost constraints.
