Job Purpose

Develop the market position and market share of Nunhems High Tech Tomato as well as build up a long-term relationship with international or national customer in line with the M&S strategy and within BASF Vegetable Seeds in order to realise profitability and partnership.

Core Responsibilities

  • Plan, review, adapt and execute the annual sales plan for the North American and Canadian High-Tech tomato market.

  • Represent the company and introduce relevant products and concepts to customers to build long term partnership and generate short term sales. Direct involvement in international or cross-border projects with customers is a substantial part of the work.

  • Provide market, price, and product information in order to contribute to the formulation of the marketing and sales plan in the Global High-Tech Team.

  • Take care of the money collection in line with the financial policy and the payment terms to ensure sufficient cash flow.

  • Contribute to the trial program to come up with proposals regarding the assortment for local needs or for specific customers

  • Teamlead of the NAFTA high tech sales team, existing of 2 sales people, 1 person in US and 1 person in Canada

Knowledge and Experience

Education

· Bachelor’s Degree

Experience

· Five years of Sales experience

Knowledge/Skills

· Well rounded knowledge of vegetable seed business

· Strong Agronomic Skills

· Advanced written and verbal communication skills

· Strong entrepreneurial spirit combined with a good ability to influence decisions of people with different backgrounds and in various functions
