Sales Account and Technical Service Manager – Pharma Solutions (1900532) – West Coast, USA

Where the Chemistry Happens

We are seeking a professional like you to join our EN Pharma Solutions Sales organization, with responsibility for a range of Pharmaceutical accounts and in generating New Business (NBD) opportunities on the West Coast, USA.

In this role, you will manage an assigned mix of pharmaceutical customers as well as a sales territory in a professional manner by actively visiting the customer base to understand and capture their needs, positively promote BASF Pharma capabilities, and match customer needs with BASF Pharma Ingredients Solutions.

Formula for Success

  • Leveraging your education and professional background in a Sales and Technical role within the pharmaceutical industry, you will manage our Pharmaceutical accounts and drive NBD opportunities on the West Coast USA

  • Your commercial expertise and in-depth knowledge of Pharma ingredients, and particularly the excipients market, will be essential to meet and exceed sales and NBD targets.

  • Your technical knowledge and skills will be crucial as you engage with pharmaceutical formulators; initiate and develop NBD opportunities.

  • Your strong conceptual skills and entrepreneurial drive will be invaluable as you provide regular reports including financial performance, highlights/lowlights, potential new/lost business, pricing, and market intelligence.

  • Utilizing your strong customer relationship management skills, you will identify and cultivate new business opportunities within the target market area.

  • Your ability to establish effective territory and account plans in accordance with market strategy will be essential as you promote BASF Pharma platforms and basic functionality features and benefits of BASF Ingredients to customer technical teams.

  • Your deep understanding of customer needs, as well as technical experience and understanding, will be of value as you contribute ideas and market knowledge to fill innovation pipeline.
