Senior Account Manager (1805306) Remote – Coastal California
Where the Chemistry Happens
We are looking for a Senior Account Manager who will be responsible for development, planning and implementation of sales initiatives aimed at maintaining and increasing business in the assigned area. The incumbent is the focal point for all projects/activities related to assigned/prospective accounts. May supervise interns or contingent labor employees.
Formula for Success:
Plan, review, adapt and execute the annual and/or more annual sales plan in order to match the plan with the production plan and inventory.
•Introduce company product to customer and potential customers in order to inform and acquire customers.
Formulate and negotiate with customers regarding annual and/or more annual contracts and concepts.
Steer the customer team to assure all aspects of the projects being carried out with the strategic customers being the most pro-active link to always anticipate the critical path and avoid failure.
•Direct involvement in international or cross-border projects with customers.
Provide market, price and product information in order to contribute to the formulation of the marking and sales plan in the crop team.
•Report to the management in order to keep the management informed about proceedings in sales and the consequences for the other departments (Operations).
Take care of the money collection in line with the financial policy and the payment terms in order to ensure sufficient cash flow.
Contribute to the trial program in order to come up with proposals regarding the assortment in collaboration with the Product Specialist
Initiate the introduction of new varieties and propose on price level, and product forms in order to contribute to commercial success of new varieties.
Seven years of sales experience
Consistently meets basic sales plan and stretch sales goals
Advanced knowledge of the vegetable seed business
Consistently communicates the Vegetable Seed Vision, Must Win Battles and Key Enablers
Advanced and expert in some areas of the CRM Tool
Strong Agronomic Skills
Advanced written and verbal communication skills
Thorough knowledge and extensive understanding of their market and competitor pressures or issues
Demonstrates a collaborative, flexible leadership style that contributes to the growth and development of the sales teams
Strategic outlook point of view when of their actions and the implications of the organization
