Business Support Specialist, Dispersions, Resins & Additives – 2000740 – Charlotte, NC

Where the Chemistry Happens…

The mission of the Business Support Specialist is to support the success and effectiveness of the EDN commercial team through business analysis, technology support, and general office administrative support.

Formula for Success

Productivity Support duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Strategic Support Projects assigned by the Vice President and other listed Leadership Team member (confidential global initiatives, slide and agenda development, etc).

  • Mastery of productivity and communication tools, and knowledge sharing with all colleagues:

  • Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)

  • Microsoft Outlook

  • Power BI dashboards

  • Cisco Webex meetings

  • Cisco TelePresence video conferencing

  • Salesforce CRM

  • SAP

  • Smartphone applications

  • Other technologies as they become available

  • Recommendations to the Leadership Team of new technologies and upgrades to improve productivity.

Business Analysis may include:

  • Analysis and presentation of data with regards to sales, margin, fixed costs, inventory, or any relevant area of interest to the leadership team.

  • Presentation of data may include creation of reports using PowerPoint, Excel, Power BI or other formats.

Technology Support may include the following, but is not limited to:

  • Digital marketing support (lead generation and management, website support, etc.).

  • Salesforce CRM implementation, maintenance, reporting, and training.

  • Support of Net Promoter System

  • Video conference support.

Administrative Support may include but is not limited to the following:

  • Expense reporting.

  • Contract execution and management.

  • Coordination of large meetings and events.

  • Onboarding of new employees.

  • Ordering of office supplies.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree with 5 years of office experience, or equivalent.

  • Professional demeanor along with excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Strong bias for learning new technologies and applications and sharing knowledge with others.

  • Demonstrated ability to work under pressure in with flexibility to adapt to changing work priorities.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to interact at all levels of an organization.

  • Ability to identify, maintain, and manage confidential company information appropriately.

  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office and Outlook, smartphone applications, and other technologies.

  • Must be detail-oriented and able to read and interpret company policies, procedures, and guidelines

  • Ability to identify, maintain, and manage confidential company information appropriately.

  • Working knowledge of corporate spending reports

Desired Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Management, or related field

  • Prior work experience at an international corporation

  • Proficiency in SAP (procurement and maintenance functions), and Salesforce CRM

  • Strong data analysis

  • Shipping & Receiving and/or mailroom experience

  • Vendor management experience
