Technical Service Manager– 1903548 – Charlotte, NC

We are looking for a talented individual like you to support the customer for Additives in our North America locations.

You will develop a Technical Service team that executes projects with customers to drive volume growth, troubleshoot and solve customer problems, and benchmark our value proposition against competitive offerings. You will be accountable for implementation of technical actions within the Global ED2 strategic business plan.

This role is heavily matrixed, interfacing and collaborating with marketing and technical colleagues in the Architectural, Industrial, Printing & Packaging, Paper Coatings and Construction industries within EDN; the role also collaborates with counterparts in all regions to drive regional projects and share best practices. This position also works in close collaboration with the R&D function to deliver on new product development.

Formula for Success

  • Utilize your skills within leadership and team development including leadership in a direct or indirect capacity. Provide leadership and team development skills while managing a diverse team and collaborating across business lines. Maintain your skillsets within communication (verbal, written, presentation), business acumen, problem solving, strong work ethic and being goal orientated.

  • Leveraging your Chemistry, Engineering, or Technical degree along with experience in sales, marketing, product management, customer-facing (architectural, industrial, transportation or construction coatings industries), and possible additives knowledge.

  • You will develop vision, mission, objectives and strategies for the Technical Service team consistent with the Market segment strategy plans and objectives.

  • Use your skills to connect frequently with customers, presenting our technical offering and supporting team members in their customer interactions. Collaborate and interact with Marketing, Sales, Product Management, Research & Development and Manufacturing.

  • Prioritizes technical service resources required to achieve Strategy Plan objectives, effectively communicate technical priorities to achieve business objectives.

  • Work to enable Additives growth by driving technical projects to service customer needs. Accountable for occupations and other safety aspects in addition to compliance in EH&S and ISO standards.
