Business Development Manager (1903912) – Tennessee Territory

Where the Chemistry Happens

In this position you will be responsible for key relationships at assigned Major Accounts and for creating revenue, profitability and penetration improvement plans for these accounts. This position is responsible for gaining new business from assigned accounts. This requires coordinating sales activities for assigned accounts with Division Managers, Industry Managers, Area Managers and key sales personnel. This position implements and complies with Company initiatives and policies.

Formula for Success

  • Responsible for developing and managing Strategic Accounts Management Process, policies and procedures

  • Informs Divisional Sales Manager/Strategic Accounts Sales Manager on progress to plan and adjusts plan based on feedback received

  • Responsible for key relationships at assigned major accounts

  • Responsible for integration of assigned newly acquired major accounts

  • Responsible for communicating with all appropriate organizational functions on pertinent information concerning assigned accounts

  • Accountable for maintaining leadership in selected Regional & National Industry associations (as assigned)

  • Informs appropriate organizational functions of account activities, competitor activities, and market intelligence

  • Process safety roles and responsibilities across the organization are clearly-defined and include an expectation to raise, and authority to respond to process safety concerns. Senior leaders are held accountable for process safety performance. Employees understand the importance of process safety as it applies to their jobs and are responsible for following and contributing to the work processes to achieve improvement in company process safety performance.

  • Assure standards of safety, environmental, team and individual performance are met in a high performance team-based organization

  • Address and raise the EHS standards at BASF
