Our European Marketing Graduate Scheme, within our Crop Protection Division will provide you with a broad insight into our fascinating field of work by giving you challenging tasks, exciting projects with responsibility and accountability. Our graduate scheme will support your personal development and is designed not only to stretch you but also equip you with the skills, competencies and experience to be successful within a truly global business and make a difference within the agricultural industry.

What you can expect

  • During this 24 months graduate scheme, you will gain a broad overview of BASF's Crop Protection activities in an international marketing environment.

  • You will initially be based at our UK Head office in Cheadle, near Manchester.

  • Here you will participate in various assignments in marketing, customer strategy, and marketing communications, to develop key business skills in crop strategy, campaign development, implementation and monitoring.

  • You will complete 2 international assignments, at a European BASF Crop Protection site, with the aim of deepening your cross-cultural experience and industry knowledge.

  • You will build a network of contacts and develop your experience of working in a diverse business environment.

  • Throughout the graduate scheme you will be mentored by an experienced BASF manager who will give you feedback on your performance, discuss development measures with you and help you to explore possible career paths within the Company.

  • Upon completion of the graduate scheme you will have a good understanding of agriculture products, markets and customer needs and be ready for the next step.

What we expect

  • You will have a minimum 2.1 Bachelor of Science Degree in an Agronomy, Marketing, Biology, Plant Science or related field, and have completed a year out in industry as part of your course, preferably in an agronomy or marketing related role.

  • You are fluent in English and hold a valid driving license.

  • You have authorization to work in the UK without restrictions.

  • You have a willingness to relocate within the UK and Europe, during the graduate scheme, as required.

  • You are flexible and adaptable, with a willingness to learn and challenge yourself.

  • You have strong interpersonal and communication skills, with ability to convince and influence your target audience.

  • You enjoy working with others and value the diversity of teams.

  • You have a passion for making a difference in the agricultural industry.
