Third Party Logistics Specialist (2201732) – RTP, NC

Where the Chemistry Happens

We are looking for a Third Party Logistics Specialist for our Research Triangle Park, North Carolina site. BASF: Create Chemistry with the Agricultural Products Division

Formula for Success

  • Leverage your Bachelor’s Degree and Supply Chain experience with a focus on Logistics / Warehousing / Transportation, you will act as the main point of contact for warehouse (3PL) operations and provide direct support to operations stakeholders.

  • Utilize your critical thinking and root cause analysis to help set priorities and make independent decisions needed to ensure a zero-incident safety culture mindset, to meet operational goals, and to achieve financial targets.

  • Nurture relationships with the BASF Corp platform, third party warehouses, production sites and internal supply chain sub-departments.

  • Professionally lead or oversee logistics and/or supply chain projects that focus on developing creative and more efficient supply chain/physical distribution practices.

  • Ensure that potential external industry, transportation, regulatory, risks are communicated in advance to allow advance contingency planning.

  • Work with the Transportation Corporate Center platform to ensure maximum support of the Order to Cash, Replenishment and Expedite process.

  • Support the development and compliance of monthly Logistics KPI report’s and help to identify and implement cost/performance/safety improvements.

  • Perform deep-dive root cause and/or trend analysis on distribution non-conformances and provide recommendations for a successful path forward.

  • Provide Agricultural Products division sites with logistical support in the areas of inventory management, SAP and FIFRA (EPA) regulations.

  • Manage, support, and respond in a timely manner to 3PLs with process and SAP daily challenges and recommend sustainable solutions.

Ingredients for Success

  • BA/BS degree in Supply Chain or related field with work experience to include 5 years supply chain or physical distribution/order fulfillment experience.

  • Strong SAP or equivalent systems skills.

  • Demonstrated working knowledge of supply chain operations concepts.

  • Strong customer focus and the ability to identify process enhancement opportunities.

  • Excellent organizational, communication, collaborative, and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment and manage changing or conflicting priorities.

  • Proven organizational skills and the ability to multitask.

  • Strong attention to detail and business acumen to communicate performance indicators to management concisely.

  • Ability to maneuver and/or develop reports from Power BI and/or Business Warehouse reporting systems.

  • Highly motivated and enthusiastic self-starter that can work with limited supervision.
