The Care Chemicals group has an opportunity for a professional like you to serve as Production/Warehouse Supervisor at our East Setauket, NY location.

In this role, you will report to the Production Manager and be responsible for providing leadership and guidance to the site’s production and warehouse personnel, ensuring a safe environment and high-performance culture in which employees can grow and thrive, while meeting and exceeding customer expectations.

  • Leveraging your leadership skills, you will be responsible for leading and developing a diverse team of production and warehouse personnel to build a high-performance team culture to deliver on our customer commitments. You will lead and inspire teams to achieve an environment of inclusion, teamwork, and collaboration, creating a seamless flow and clear roles and responsibilities of both departments.In addition, you will create an environment in which every employee feels empowered to speak up, make decisions, and have a voice and opportunity to affect positive change in their work environment. You will drive an increase in EHS reporting and idea submissions.

  • Using your focus on driving results, you will define clear goals and KPIs for both departments for safety, quality, productivity, and coach for performance to achieve these goals.

  • Utilizing your passion for innovation, you will set a vision for modernization and digitalization of production and warehouse processes and lead the effort to implement these changes working with both our internal team and external technology experts.

  • Demonstrating strong and active safety leadership through leadership engagement activities, you will serve as a role model through your engagement in all Site EHS programs and building an active safety culture within the team, while communicating and responding to all relevant safety/process safety issues/concerns.

Qualifications...

  • Minimum 5 years experience in a production or manufacturing warehouse environment with two years leadership experience.

  • Detail oriented, proactive, strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication (oral and written) skills, able to work as part of a team or independently, ability to enforce policies, ability to prioritize work to meet deadlines, support client base of various functional areas and at various levels within the organization.

  • Knowledge of SAP is a plus.

Pay transparency

BASF is committed to pay transparency practices. The competitive Pay Range for this role is $100,800 - $126,000. Actual pay will be determined based on education, certifications, experience, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
