Where the Chemistry Happens…

QC Technician, 1902072 – East Setauket, NY

Position Description:

  • Experience in chemical testing techniques such as % Water by KF, LOD, Viscosity, Density, Ph, and Refractive index

  • Experience in basic analytical instrumentation such as IR. UV/VIS, Plate readers, Colorimeters, and particle size analyzers

  • Experience testing raw materials , in process samples , and final product samples

  • Pull samples, test, and enter data to support stability program

  • Update specification and SOP as needed.

  • Track and maintain instrument PM and calibration program

  • Have knowledge of USP test methodology

  • Ability to support cleaning validation

  • Ability to perform environmental monitoring

  • Ability to analyze data and write up results

  • Ability to troubleshoot instrumentation when necessary

  • Work independently and in a group environment

  • Communicates well with co-workers and superiors

  • Willing to cross train on basic microbiology testing

  • Knowledge chemistry instrumentation such as HPLC a plus

  • Knowledge of SAP systems a plus

  • Understanding of GMP a plus

  • Some lifting and climbing may be required.

Ingredients for Success: What We Look for in You…

Basic Qualifications:

  • BS Degree Chemistry or related science field

  • 1 year of chemistry lab experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • QC Lab experience preferred.

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.

  • Familiarity with lab techniques.

  • Intermediate knowledge and understanding of current Good Manufacturing Practices and Good Laboratory Practices

  • Analytical instrumentation experience
