Wherethe Chemistry Happens
We are seeking a professional like you to manage programs and activities at the Elyria site that will enhance the employee experience with BASF. You will take a leadership role in many aspects of the site culture development in Elyria and will lead tactical efforts and execute plans associated with the responsibilities below to support Elyria site goals.
Leveraging your bachelor’sdegree combined with your relevant experience, you will manage the Elyria site’s onboardingprogram of new hires, to include ensuring appropriate agenda andcollaboration with presenters for introduction to the Elyria site, as wellas I-9 verification using the e-Verify system to ensure compliance withU.S. employment law.
As a proactiveself-starter with exceptional interpersonal and organizational skills, youwill oversee various programs including summer internship programs (PDPand local summer hire).
Your experiencewith an applicant tracking system such as Taleo will be a great benefit asyou work with hiring managers to create requisitions in Taleo for routingapproval.
Workingindependently with minimal direction, youwill act as the point of contact for the distribution of corporate materials,such as Open Enrollment Posters and compliance posters.You will also be the contact for updating,revising and publishing of any local site HR related procedures orpolicies in coordination with the myHR Management Resource Team (MRT).
Your flexibilityto work on multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline driven environmentwill be vital as you manage various employee engagement and community-related events for the site.Youwill also coordinate and participate in employee/site, community andcharitable events.
Your experiencewith Microsoft Office (particularly Word, Excel and PowerPoint) will be essentialas you provide communications support by maintaining BASF TV and othersite wide communications as needed.You will also use these skills to coordinate and communicatepersonnel announcements of new hires and internal employee moves to thesite.
Your proficiencyin SAP and Success Factors will be a valued asset as you support thesite’s recognition process by providing recognition program reports asneeded.
Demonstrating yourexperience with site medical programs combined with your ability to handleconfidential and sensitive information, you will serve as the site MedicalCoordinator and manage all employee annual physicals and medicalclearances. Additionally, you will serve in the delegated capacity as thesite point of contact for all non-negative drug tests for Elyriaemployees.
Successfullyengaging inside and outside the organization, you will work with siteleaders and the Leave Team on employee short-term disability requirementsand manage service vendors for uniforms, vending, and other site servicesas assigned.
Relying on yourexperience in workers compensation administration while working in amanufacturing environment, you will manage the site’s workers compensationprogram and work with the insurance carrier and site EHS to ensurecompliance.
