We are a global expert in the development, production, and marketing of coatings and solutions serving the refinish and OEM markets.

Join us as a Strategic Account Manager driving profitable organic sales growth, expanding our customer base, and forging strategic partnerships that will propel us to the forefront of the industry. With a deep understanding of the automotive collision industry, you'll develop and execute strategic sales plans, negotiate contracts, and build relationships with key decision-makers. Your ability to think strategically and work cross-functionally will be instrumental in aligning strategic account growth plans with our business unit strategy and leading all activities associated with new market and customer growth.

The Strategic Account Manager will oversee the southeastern United States, with Florida as a primary market. Residency within the defined market/Florida is required as extensive travel, exceeding 50% of the work schedule, is an integral part of this role.

As a Strategic Account Manager, You Create Chemistry By...

  • Driving profitable organic sales growth of existing accounts and expand the customer base in the southeastern United States using your deep understanding of the automotive collision industry, the competitive landscape, and the needs of your customers. You will also need to be able to develop and execute strategic sales plans, negotiate contracts, and build relationships with key decision-makers/executives.

  • Aligning strategic account growth plans with business unit strategy and lead all activities related to market and customer growth, focusing on national accounts, cross-regional players, and emerging multi-shop organizations. This requires the ability to think strategically and work cross-functionally with sales, controlling, marketing, distribution, and supply chain teams. You will also need to be able to develop and implement new market entry strategies and manage customer relationships across multiple regions.

  • Developing sales proposals and negotiating sales contracts with the customer, as well as obtain necessary internal approvals. This requires strong analytical and negotiation skills. You will also need to be able to understand the needs of your customers and develop solutions that meet their requirements.

  • Supporting strategic decisions for the business by reviewing and qualifying customer financials, market situation, insurance, and partner relationships that support customer growth and relevancy in the market. This requires a strong understanding of the business and the ability to identify and assess risks and opportunities.

  • Working closely with the entire sales organization on the execution of the strategic business plan with a focus on supporting the retention, growth, and expansion of strategic sector customers. This requires the ability to collaborate effectively with others and work towards common goals. You will also need to be able to communicate effectively and keep stakeholders informed of your progress and align collaborative efforts.

If you...

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, or a related field is preferred. An MBA is a plus. Ten or more years of demonstrated success through relevant experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.

  • Five or more years of verifiable success in sales or strategic/key account management.

  • In-depth knowledge of the automotive collision industry ecosystem is a plus. You will use Salesforce regularly so proficiency is a plus.

  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills are essential for success in this role. You must be able to communicate effectively with customers, colleagues, and stakeholders at all levels.

  • The ability to build and maintain strong relationships with customers and key stakeholders is essential for success in this role. You must be able to understand their needs, build trust, and develop mutually beneficial relationships.

  • The ability to identify and solve problems is essential for success in this role. You will often need to deal with complex challenges and find creative solutions.

  • The ability to collect, analyze, and interpret data is essential for success in this role. You must be able to use data to make informed decisions and develop strategic plans.

  • The ability to stay organized and manage your time effectively is essential for success in this role. You must be able to juggle multiple projects and deadlines and meet your commitments.
