Customer Maintenance Administrator (1802702) – Florham Park, NJ

This position is primarily focused on the First Order Process and Customer Master Data responsibilities within the Customer Care Organization. The Customer Maintenance Administrator is responsible for (1) communication between Customer Care and the Customer Master Data team (2) prioritizing and submitting new and change requests through the appropriate submission tool (PASTIS Web, Master Data Governance, etc.) (3) pre-validation process steps to validate the request (4) cross-functional communication with the Credit Department or other business partners as needed (5) SAP master data gap analysis needs before order processing and (6) occasional communication with direct customers to obtain tax documentation. The incumbent will work closely with the Advocates and provide master data migration support as needed for mergers and acquisitions.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with an online workflow system, assign requests to self and manage through completion.

  • Process centrally maintained Customer Care requests and submit through PASTIS Web.

  • Provide consultative advice to Customer Master Data team when issues arise.

  • Share process and system knowledge with team members and CMD team when guidance is appropriate.

  • Actively involved in Master Data Projects/initiatives and may serve as a Project Lead.

  • Investigate using Internet tools and information to ensure that data is set up to accurately to reflect the proper legal names and structures.

  • Communicate and coordinate required data changes with other functions and/or Business groups because of process additions or data modifications.

  • Provide support for data conversion tasks during company acquisitions, merges and divestures.

  • Focus on data integrity to support BASF processes by performing data clean-up activities.

  • Problem solve and proactively implement solutions.

  • Review information and interpret to ensure SAP data maintenance has been completed accurately.

  • Multi-task and utilize several different computer applications at once.

  • Work effectively in a team environment as workload shifts based on needs.

  • Gain knowledge of both standard and custom BASF mass update and query tools.

  • Maintain conceptual understanding of company organizational structures.

  • Exhibit excellent communication, interpersonal, computer and keyboard skills.

Basic qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED

  • Two years of experience in Customer Account Management, and/or Customer Order Management

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associates or Bachelors Degree in Business Administration, or a related field

  • Experience utilizing SAP software related to Order to Cash (OTC) processes
