Exposure Reduction Process Implementation Leader (2103516)

Where the Chemistry Happens

We are seeking a professional like you to be an internal consultant responsible for developing, launching and monitoring implementation of Exposure Reduction Process (ERP) activities at multiple locations.

In this role, you will be the primary interface with BASF sites to communicate, support and execute safety culture strategic initiatives. You will work as a partner with the sites to formulate a business plan and implement a strategy using both ERP technologies and locally developed programs.

You will deliver polished and highly effective presentations, facilitate training, in-field coaching and workshops to employees at all levels. While support will take several forms including phone/conference calls, virtual presentations, etc., a significant amount of your time will be “hands-on” via on-site visits. You will provide updates and share knowledge and insights with other Implementation Leaders, as well as their respective Site Leadership, Business Unit Leadership and other leadership as necessary.

This is an excellent opportunity to demonstrate your working experience in process manufacturing (chemical-related industry preferred) and showcase your proven ability to plan and organize projects. Although not required and experience implementing a Behavior Based Safety program will be advantageous in this role.

Formula for Success

  • Leveraging your education and working experience (5-10 years in an Industrial Environment) in EH&S, Operations, HR, Consulting or a related discipline, you will facilitate safety culture change through transformational leadership development and employee engagement.

  • Your demonstrated ability to drive change and any employee training and coaching experience you may have will be valued assets as you manage safety leadership development though training, coaching and 360 feedback.

  • Exercising your strong interpersonal, relationship building, advocacy and buy-in skills, you will lead employee engagement activities for site peer-to-peer observation processes and barrier removal.

  • Your outstanding written and verbal communication skills (preferably in both English and Spanish) will be essential as you collaborate with front line employees as well as site and business leaders to align safety vision and activities.

  • Demonstrating your ability to drive sustainable solutions combined with your strong analytical, consultative and diagnostic skills, you will support sustainability activities for continuous improvement of safety culture.

  • Preference is for the successful candidate to be located in the southeastern US to lessen travel requirements.
