Where the chemistry happens…

We are looking for the responsible lead for the US accounting & reporting activities associated with audits and financial reporting compliance (FRC).

As a Financial Reporting Specialist Audit/Compliance you will ensure that there is an adequate and robust internal control environment in the US companies and coordinate and manage the local activities for Group and statutory audits. This includes ensuring that internal control and audit topics are appropriately identified, evaluated, steered, and communicated to local management (NA) and corporate center (CF).

As a Financial Reporting Specialist Audit / Compliance, You Create Chemistry By...

  • Frequently engaging with Hub, local management, internal audit, and business units to ensure adequate internal control environmental and sharing of best practices and solutions.

  • Supporting coordination of external audit activities, including the resolution of audit findings and constantly driving to simplify and address risks in audit processes.

  • Conducting periodic reporting reviews to ensure adequacy and accuracy of legal entity reporting, in partnership with Hub and broader GBW/F team.

  • Leading select reporting to Corporate Center (CF) e.g. Risks & Opportunities and Regional Review Meeting with Ressort II.

  • Leveraging financial acumen, communication skills, data orientation and relationships with other units, Hub, and corporate center, to ensure topics are addressed in a timely and satisfactory manner.

  • Contributing to the overall quality of BASF’s financial reporting.

If you...

  • Have a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Business Admin. CPA and/or MBA is highly desired.

  • Possess a minimum of seven (7) years’ experience in corporate financial roles.

  • Possess strong project management abilities, and experience working related to audits and general finance.

  • Communicate with excellence both verbally and in written form, in a technical and executive way.

  • Are able to interpret and act on data insights.

  • Possess good relationship-building skills.
