Senior Auditor (2101938) – Florham Park, NJ
Where the Chemistry Happens
We are seeking a professional like you to join our global Corporate Audit team where you will take a leading role in audit planning, audit execution, audit reporting and follow-up of the implementation of audit recommendations for BASF Group.
In this role, you will report to the Director of Corporate Audit for North America. You will be responsible for leading global audit teams in performing effective audit procedures at domestic and foreign BASF organizational units, companies, and sites according to audit quality standards and documentation requirements. You will plan and scope individual audit assignments, supervise and execute the audit fieldwork, conduct the closing meeting with the auditees and prepare the audit report, and actively contribute to the annual audit planning process. You will also assist with ad-hoc special investigations and due diligence reviews as assigned.
This is an excellent opportunity for you to demonstrate your high commitment and result-oriented flexibility, especially in remote working environments. The position requires a willingness to travel up to 50%, predominantly domestic, but also international. Although not required, proficiency in the Spanish language is a plus.
Formula for Success
Your degree (Bachelor / Master) in business, accounting, finance, intelligence & analytics, information technology, operations management, sales and marketing, engineering, or project management, and CIA and/or CISA certification(preferred), will help you meet the IIA’s international standards for the professional practice of internal auditing.
Leveraging your 2 years of audit experience in internal auditing and/or external auditing, (preferably in an international audit environment), you will perform audits up to high complexity level, including risk identification and audit approach design, as well as drawing fact-based and substantiated audit conclusions.
Your previous experience writing audit reports, as well as effective written, verbal, and interpersonal skills will serve you well as you continuously interact with auditees at all levels with the organization, performing closure meetings and write Board Summary audit reports.
Your working knowledge of SAP(or equivalent ERP systems), Windows, Excel, and Word, and use of SharePoint and MS Teams will be beneficial to execute audit assignments efficiently and effectively.
Utilizing your strong time and project management skills, you will ensure schedule and budget compliance and timely impact-based reporting of audit results.
Demonstrating your solid organization and teamwork skills, you will lead/coordinate and participate in (small size) audit teams.
