You are a strategic thought leader who drives the strategy and oversees the execution of BASF’s employer brand internally and externally for North America. You work to optimize our competitive positioning as an inclusive talent developer, one where employees are recognized for their contributions, passion, uniqueness and can thrive both personally and professionally.

In partnership with the Manager, Talent Attraction and Acquisition, you define and implement innovative diverse talent attraction and employer brand strategies which increase awareness of BASF as an employer of choice. Your design and management of the employer brand strategy authentically integrates the external candidate and internal employee experience. Your design of our employee recognition strategy drives a high-performance culture in the region. You work, in partnership with our HUB, optimizes our Employer Value Proposition and Compelling Total Offer, diversity attraction and recognition strategy, tying into our cultural pillars to further enhance employee engagement and value for our businesses.

You will direct the activities of a team in the HUB, who supports the execution of the strategy. Your work includes social media campaigns, talent attraction/diversity recruitment branding, diversity conferences and event management, career site optimization, recognition program training for leaders/HR, and business requested on-demand recognition contests/campaigns.

You’ll leverage business stakeholder insight and work to establish and measure KPI’s to optimize performance and continuously improve employee engagement and elevate BASF’s employer brand in North America. You will serve as a Subject Matter Expert for all employer brand touchpoints, including diversity, onboarding, and candidate & employee experience.

Formula for Success...

  • Leveraging your experience in Business, Marketing, Communications, Human Resources, or a related field and your experience in designing strategies for employee/candidate experience, employee engagement, and/or talent attraction brand campaigns, you will lead the design and delivery of BASF’s employer brand strategy (including our careers website, social media channels, internal employee spotlights, etc.), differentiating BASF as an employer of choice.

  • Demonstrating your experience in program design and project management, with your ability to manage complex initiatives, competing priorities and multiple stakeholders, you will develop and lead the employee experience brand strategy for North America, focused on trust, inclusion, feedback and recognition (RecognizingYou, Employee Referral Program, Employee Connections & Networking, BASF Alumni, BASF Brand Ambassadors, etc.).

  • Your ability to effectively influence others without authority, across various stakeholders, businesses, and delivery teams, will be essential as you foster strong relationships

  • Successfully engaging across the organization, you will collaborate across Talent Strategy, Corporate Communications and Total Rewards Teams to integrate leadership, employee development and total rewards strategy more prominently into our candidate experience.

  • Relying on your experience leveraging metrics to demonstrate measurable impact of talent strategies, you will design and monitor key metrics to evaluate effectiveness of the EVP strategy. You will continually review program effectiveness and optimize external brand (social media, career fairs, university recruitment, conferences, external talent speaking events, industry awards/recognition, etc.).

  • Using your effective presentation skills, you will periodically present progress on regional EVP strategy.

  • Your strong verbal and written communication skills will serve you well as you consult with the business on employee branding, diversity recruitment and recognition needs to support their human capital plans.

  • Exercising your strong technical, analytical and problem-solving skills, you will research industry trends, understand what is next for employee engagement, and evaluate and benchmark market-driven solutions for cost-effective, competitive solutions.

  • Your substantial experience leveraging social media, community sites, industry groups, and external research/best practice platforms will enable you to identify social media branding (talent attraction) best practices and emerging trends, oversee HUB delivery of social media campaigns for talent attraction and brand engagement, and define and measure tracking mechanisms to optimize social engagement across platforms.
